Antler's goal is to provide the perfect match between client needs and finished translated product.
Our first step is to learn as much as possible about the potential assignment. Once the text to be translated has been sent to us, either in hard copy or electronically, a complete review is conducted to determine the specifics of the assignment, and when this is completed we provide a formal price quotation to the client, usually within a matter of hours.
At the same time, the potential translators for the job are tentatively assigned. Whether we are going to handle the work in-house or allocate it to one of our 1200 freelance contractors, three factors have to be resolved: mother-tongue fluency in the target language, the right subject expertise, and translator availability. Our database provides us with translators by language pair and specialization, and we contact the top translators who meet the first two criteria, to see whether their current workload will allow them to be available now or in the immediate future.
Once Antler receives the go-ahead from the client, a Project Manager takes over coordination of the work flow– that includes:
- Issuing the materials to the translator and ensuring that the instructions are understood (including the all-important deadline);
- Channeling translator/client questions;
- Overseeing the translation and editing processes and monitoring progress;
- Finally, delivering competitively priced, professionally translated and timely work.
